Invitation to Present at the 2026 RSA Annual Summer Conference
Our Roots, Our Rise
July 12-14 – Lake Placid Conference Center
The Rural Schools Association is excited to announce our 2026 annual conference, “Our Roots, Our Rise”, which will be held at the Lake Placid Convention Center from July 12-14, 2026.
This year’s theme honors both the deep foundations that sustain rural communities and the innovative approaches that propel them toward a vibrant future.
We are seeking applications from school districts and/or BOCES districts that have any unique and successful programs currently in operation that include but are not limited to:
– Strengthening the Foundations of Rural Education
– Innovative Teaching, Learning and Graduation Pathways
– Organizational Capacity Through Creative And Shared Collaboration
– Rooted Leadership

Presentation proposals should be limited to 500 words or less. Please submit electronically by midnight February 23, 2026 and feel free to share this information widely.
The selected sessions will be scheduled for Monday, July 13 and Tuesday morning, July 14. Sessions are an hour in length, please plan for approximately 45 minutes of presentation time and 15 minutes for Q&A. Proposals will be reviewed by the Rural Schools Association Conference Planning Committee. The selected presenters will be notified by March 15th. Presenters will be asked to pay the registration fee appropriate to their conference participation.
