Curling 101


Learn the basics of curling, try your shot at being a pro, and spend the evening networking with colleagues.

You must opt-in to this event in advance during the registration process. Additional fees do not apply, however, it is important that you register in advance as this event is sure to fill up quickly.

If attendees would like to opt out of the curling session, we still welcome you to join us for an evening of networking with colleagues.

Olympic Jumping Complex


Intervale Ski Jump/Ski Lodge
The 128-meter jump features an observation deck which offers views of the surrounding High Peaks of the Adirondacks. Training and competition for Nordic ski jumping takes place year round thanks to a plastic mat out-run on the 90m jump. Please note: Official invoices will be issued by the FEH BOCES Business Office after the conference, either through contract billing or direct invoicing. Payments may be made prior to the event, but they will not be processed until after the conference. Registration and billing will follow the Franklin-Essex-Hamilton BOCES process. ***Only aideble workshop participants, specifically certified employees of the district, are eligible for billing through the Contract Invoicing process. Board members and trustees are NOT aidable and will be included under non-aidable participants for invoicing purposes.

The Rural Schools Association is excited to announce its 2025 annual conference, The Future of Rural – Our Time to Shine, to be held at the Lake Placid Convention Center from July 13-15, 2025.

We are reminded that rural schools are vital pillars of hope, growth, and progress. By embracing innovative programs, these schools can lead the way in shaping brighter futures for their students and communities. We are seeking applications from school districts and/or BOCES districts that have any unique and successful programs currently in operation that include but are not limited to:

– AGRICULTURE IN SCHOOLS
– PREPARING STUDENTS FOR LIFE BEYOND P-12
– STAFFING ISSUES
DISTRICT COLLABORATION
